Our 12-month live/work residencies open quarterly, with residencies starting on March 1, June 1, September 1 and December 1 each year. There is also a 3-month option for international artists unable to get a longer visa, and artists with special circumstances.
Project 14C is an innovative urban residency designed for fine artists, filmmakers, writers, designers, performers, and creators working across the full spectrum of contemporary art.
We believe creativity thrives when artists are supported -not only with space, but with community.
Our mission is to establish a vibrant, affordable, and nurturing environment where diverse talents come together to live and work, inspire one another, and build the foundation for a lasting career in the arts through mentorship, professional development, and meaningful opportunity. Project 14C offers modern, subsidized live/work studios and shared facilities—designed to make sustained creative work possible within a vibrant community of peers.
Project 14C is located in Jersey City’s Powerhouse Arts District, just ten minutes from Manhattan by PATH train - placing residents at the crossroads of two thriving creative ecosystems. Here, the energy of an urban center meets the intimacy of a close-knit neighborhood: galleries, studios, performance spaces, and cultural institutions within reach.
Project 14C occupies the entire 4th, 5th, and 6th floors of the landmark 150 Bay Street building.
