Our Mission ; A versatile space where artists are in control.

Stage 14C is a multifunctional performance and rehearsal division within ARTS 14C, designed to support artists, serve the local community, and contribute to the broader cultural ecosystems of Jersey City, the NYC Metropolitan Area, and beyond.

We provide affordable, high-quality space for emerging and established artists across disciplines — and cultivate programming that fosters meaningful exchange between dance, theater, music, visual art, and wellness.

Our Spaces

Dance Studio

1,296 sq. ft.
A flexible studio designed for rehearsals, acting classes, creative labs, talks, readings, and community programming, as well as photo and film shoots. Includes a a kitchenette and two bathrooms with a shower.

Practice room

1,012 sq. ft.
A flexible, bare-bones studio with concrete floors, designed primarily for actors’ workshops, seminars, and readings. The space can also accommodate receptions connected to events in the main studio and may be used as a photo studio. It includes a kitchenette and two bathrooms, one with a shower.

Open Rehersals

The studio is open for music rehearsals, including singing, instrumentalists, small bands, and acoustic setups. While we don’t provide instruments on site, artists are welcome to bring their own and use the space to rehearse, create, and collaborate with their musical partners.​

Stage 14C Workshop​

A two-week paid cohort for all levels of artists working in dance, theater, and hybrid performance. Develop work in a supported studio environment with rehearsal access, travel stipends, and in-studio showings

Meet the Team

Stage 14C is led by working artists committed to cultivating space for creative rigor, collaboration, and community engagement. Our leadership brings together deep performance experience and operational expertise to support artists at every stage of their process.

Artistic Director -Harrison Ball

Harrison Ball is a multidisciplinary artist and former Principal Dancer with New York City Ballet. Since taking his final bow with the company, he has expanded his creative practice to include filmmaking, choreography, and a range of interdisciplinary performance projects. At Stage 14C, he guides artistic vision and cultivates an environment where experimentation and rigor coexist.

Co-Artistic Director - Asha DaHomey Griffith

Asha DaHomey Griffith is an international performing artist, educator, choreographer, and songwriter rooted in tap dance. Her performance credits include Dorrance Dance, Apartment 33, and Soles of Duende. Asha is a faculty member at Steps on Broadway and the director of Tap Water Dance Academy, a training program for emerging tap dancers.
