Since 2019 Art Fair 14C has been New Jersey’s art fair, providing affordable exhibition opportunities for galleries, arts organizations and artists.
LOCATION
For its 7th Edition, Art Fair 14C returns to the Powerhouse Arts District of downtown Jersey City. The fair occupies the entire 40,000 square foot 4th floor of the historic industrial 150 Bay Building, one of three floors occupied by ARTS 14C’s arts incubator and residency program.
Rather than booths and cubicles, Art Fair 14C’s exhibitors show in twenty two large and airy loft studios.
We allow exhibitors a full week to install, providing the time to create bespoke salon and installation spaces.
MISSION
As part of a a 501(c)(3) arts nonprofit, Art Fair 14C has always been mission-led. It was created to help galleries, organizations and artists who might otherwise be shut out of international art fairs, as well as expose the region’s art lovers to diverse talents in fine art.
REVOLUTIONARY PRICING FOR EXHIBITORS
Always more affordable than most other fairs, starting with the 6th Edition, Art Fair 14C switched to an innovative model of discounted exhibitor fees and shared revenue.
Why? Because there are always risks to participating in art fairs – they can be hugely expensive and there is the chance of work not selling.
Art Fair 14C decided to take on that risk on behalf of our exhibitors, and created a tiered system of participation fees. It was well received by everyone in 2025, and we’re keeping the system in place for 2026.
Exhibitors have three options:
Option 1
Pay exhibitor fees of $12 per square foot, process your own sales, keep 100%
Option 2
Pay half the fees, and 14C will process your sales and retain 25%
Option 3
Pay nothing, and 14C will process your sales and retain 50%
The 7th Edition of Art Fair 14C has three separate applications:
Exhibition Spaces (Free to apply until Dec 15, $100 fee after that):
The loft studios can be reserved for a single exhibitor, or can be divided between as many as four exhibitors. We cast a wide net for exhibitors – they can be traditional galleries, online galleries, artist collectives, individual artists – even museums and universities.
Each will have access to the existing 12′ height walls and open spaces, with the option for temporary 8′ walls. The price is $12 per square foot. Exhibitors can choose to pay full price, half price, or nothing at all.
The Showcase (Free to apply until Dec 15, $25 fee after that):
An Art Fair 14C tradition – The Showcase is an exhibition for unrepresented New Jersey based artists. Artists are selected by a rotating panel of art world experts, and the exhibition space is free of charge to the artists. We are very pleased to have as judges for 2026: Jessica Holmes, Zoë Pulley and Irene Mei Zhi Shum.
Special installations (Free to apply until Dec 15, $25 fee after that):
The venue has several spaces that are not suited for an exhibition booth, but which will work well for an art installation. Installation proposals can be site-specific or adaptable, and Art Fair 14C is particularly interested in bold and non-commercial work. Accepted proposals will be offered the installation spaces free of charge.
